The Farewell

As a dry leaf as it fall s here

And no more of the tree

Departure is here

As a hay put to fire

And no more a part of the field

Departure is painful

As a candle lessened by the flame

And no more  of the light

Departure is near

As a  body berried on the ground

And no more a part of the earth

Departure is then

But as the moment of joy

Of an amazing past

Is soon no more pained by the thoughts , man  bids  Farwell to all these

Till he too departs

From this one moment stage

Who will remain at a glance

To utter farewell

If all departs

A silent wind and enchanting sea i suppose

To bid farewell to me.
